Seaboard Plant City Freight Station

Anyone having photo of this station, or would know of a publication that has one, let me know. The station is still there and used by CSX for signal maintainers I believe and I am interested in its history. Thanks. Bob B.

AS OF DEC 2004, I AM STILL TRYING TO BUY THIS STATION FROM CSX. I CAME CLOSE IN 2003 BUT CSX CHANGED ITS MIND. ANY CURRENT INFO OR HISTORICAL WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS. BOB

My father, Clarence Edwin Copeand, was freight agent at Plant City for several years in the '60s prior to his retirement in 1966. The phosphate traffic seems to have been the prime activity. Some photos in my personal files. Will get to them asap. My recent move to SC has much yet in storage. Get back to you, later. Don C.

Received the photos, Mr. Stevens, they really were interesting and answered a few questions. Anyone else have photos or info, I can use it. Thanks

Robert, I have photos of the Freight Station from all angles that were taken in 1983. I can scan them and download to your email if you would like. Let me know.
