Movie Reviews

My previous movie review, about a year ago, earned me scores of emails thanking me profusely for my advice, and complementing me on my insights. So I'll do it again.

None of these movies is current enough to be seen in a theater, so they will have to be rented.

(1) Miss Congeniality. Funny as hell.

(2) King Kong, the colorized version. Color does a lot for this movie, and Fay Wray is superb.

(3) Mars Attacks. For a true cinema buff, it is amazing how many neat references there are to other famous movies - Fritz Lang's "Metropolis", "Jurassic Park I", and, believe it or not, the outcome revolves around a device (I won't say stolen, in the cinema it is customary to speak of homage) taken directly from "Attack of the Killer Tomatos I"
