U.S. allows treatment of fetus as 'unborn child' !!!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

Just released on CNN Online:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- States may classify a developing fetus as an "unborn child" eligible for government health care, the Bush administration said Thursday, giving low-income women access to prenatal care and bolstering the arguments of abortion opponents.

This is unbelievable and wonderful. The Bush Administration is beginning their assault on Roe v.Wade. May God help our nation and strengthen our leadership to wholly embrace the sanctity of every life and every child!

The Pro-Abortion movement (baby killers) is already out in numbers screaming their heads off! Laurie Rubiner of the National Partnership for Women and Families (Yeah Right) said, "I just have to believe their hidden agenda is to extend personhood to a fetus."

"Extend Personhood to a fetus"? I can't believe these people actually want to deny "personhood" to babies. Even their rhetoric is ridiculous.

Thoughts or Comments, Anyone?

Thanks.

The "Families" part of that is also ridiculous. 'Family Planning' agencies funded by the UN Family Planning Agency burn the homes of Chinese families who have their second child winthin 4 years of the first. They tie the tubes of women in Mexico hostpials without their knowledge. And they send "healthcare" to African homes where the only medication available are birth control pills.

Whenever you see the word "family" in a pro-choice organization, think population control, forced abortions, and human rights abuses.

Christian,

It would be amazing if anything was enacted that specified rights for a pre-born baby at this time. Politically, I'd bet lots that it'll get softened. But there's a BIG change in things if it even gets into policy that the BABY Itself has a right to benefits and not the mother on the baby's behalf.

It sure doesn't take a rocket scientist to see why the aborters are out in full force! Once a baby is given ANY right, it's hard to say that they should be able to be disposed of at will.

In any event, Good for Bush! Bet you wouldn't have seen that from Gore.

After Sept. 11, when I saw all those "God Bless America" signs, I thought maybe He would if we didn't legalize abortion. What great news!

I heard something about that the other day. A friend of mine, said, "God bless America? Uh, shouldn't America be blessing God?"

Christian,

Thanks for passing this information on. I have always been an anti- abortion guy even when I was a lukewarm Catholic (still trying to become a red hot one!). I could never understand anyone's argument that a fetus is not a "person". To me, once an egg is fertilized, it is a human being if allowed to develop. Therefore, any type of abortion is the killing of a human being (i.e. murder).

I know I am preaching to the choir here, but this is one issue that I feel strongly about and will spout my spiel whenever the subject is brought up.

I just heard about this tonight and all I can say is:

"PRAISE GOD!!!!!!" And "God bless President Bush!!"

And yes, their rhetoric is absolutely ridiculous!

More good news, folks!

I'm sure you know that National Broadcasting Company (NBC) and its subordinate networks, like MSNBC (MiSerable No-Baby Company), comprise an ultra-liberal, anti-life empire.
Well, MSNBC posted an article on the Internet on January 22 (anniversary of the Roe/Wade decision). In a sidebar, they decided to have an online survey. As of a few minutes ago (10 days later), they had 11,887 responses, with the number growing by the minute. Admittedly, this is not a scientific survey, but I think that they prevent a person from voting more than once by using a "cookie." Here are the results so far, which reflect a much stronger pro-life voice than do highly publicized polls:

--------------------- QUOTE ---------------------
Do you think federal laws regarding abortion should be changed?

Yes. Roe v. Wade should be overturned and abortion should be made illegal
75%

Yes. Abortion should only be allowed in rare cases, such as if the mother was raped or if her life is in danger
12%

No. A woman should have a legal right to choose whether to have an abortion
13%

--------------------- END QUOTE -----------------
These numbers are unchanged from 24 hours ago, when 10,728 had responded. A day earlier than that, I added my pro-life vote when the count was at 9,666, and the percentages were 76, 11, and 13.

You can stand up for life by casting your vote on that MSNBC page.

St. James, pray for us.
God bless you.

Thanks for the info, John. I read the links and the links to the new Supreme Court Justice questions now arising. It looks as though Bush may get the opportunity to appoint two justices during his tenure. Lets pray he does.

Speaking of Liberal Bias in the Media, try this sentence from that MSNBC Link, "And both anti-abortion and abortion-rights groups are holding dueling press conferences."

Notice how we are ANTI something and the baby killers are for RIGHTS! I am so frustrated by this sort of willful deception of the masses. Every news story about this stuff is clouded with Pro- Abortion rhetoric like this.

What exactly are we supposted to do about this? How can it be shown that the media is so Liberal, that it is designed to keep abortion and similar atrocious acts legal?

I don't know if any of you have read the book "BIAS" that just came out, but I heard it is an excellent depiction by a former CBS insider of just these sorts of deceptions. I recommend it to everyone, as I am going to get it this weekend.

God Bless,
