I visited the web site you had linked in another thread, and notice you are a missionary sponsored by a Church of Christ -- I actually had been meaning to ask you if you were, my visit just prompted me to actually do so!

Well, my questions are: How long have you been in Brazil (Brasil?), and I don't suppose you happen to know a family who left there a couple of years ago by the name of Duncan, do you? Our family life minister at our church and his wife were missionaries to Brazil for several years, and as he teaches my Sunday bible class, we get to hear stories occasionally.

Yep, I am just a Christian, and we're supported by several churches of Christ, all spread around in Ark., Tenn., Miss., Tex., and Ken. We have lived in Brazil since 28 Oct 1984 (important date for us), so that makes it 17+ years. Lived first for 10 years in Belo Horizonte, and now 7 in Sao Jose dos Campos, 100 km from Brazil's Big Apple, Sao Paulo.

The folks you know wouldn't happen to be the Ron Duncan family, would they? Haven't heard from them in ages. The missionaries have an annual retreat in January, but due to work responsibilities, esp. at the Christian camp, we haven't been in about six years. So in a country this size, it's hard to keep up with everybody.

Randal, they are the David Duncan family. David and Barbara, and two girls. I will have to get with them and find out where in Brazil they were. You would think with as many stories as I have heard, I would remember! I'll also ask what years they were there. I'm sure you know some of the same people, isn't it a small world?!
