Just wanted to ask for everyone to pray for the Wall Street Journal reporter, Danny Pearl. He is being held by Islamic Fundamentalists in Pakistan and they are now threatening to Kill him within 24 hours. Danny has a new wife who is six months pregnant with their first child.

May Christ be with him and his family. Amen.

I will pray through the intercession of St. Arthelais, patron saint of kidnap victims.
Born in the year 544, Arthelais was the daughter of a Roman imperial proconsul. She was desired by the emperor Justinian, but had taken a vow of chastity, so she fled to Benevento in order to stay with an uncle.
En route, she was kidnapped by highwaymen, but was miraculously freed after three days. She died of fever at about the age of 16.
