We have been slighty on top for 2 years. Before that we have had to stomach "the entertainers" £15m tranfers,FA cup finals,beating Barca etc etc etc

And you think that 2 years makes up for all that??

Macbeth: 44500 is NOT a embarrasing crowd at all.Still much bigger than most crowds in the country this season. Of course I am aware that Newcastle get bigger crowds but I was not aware that they have had 52000 for every match since formation. 12000 against Boro in 1991 IS embarrasing. I do NOT want to get embroiled in a crowd debate as quite simply Newcatle have and have nearly always had bigger . But dont look down your nose too much.

To be honest we were abysmal last night.

And of course Boro didnt sell out but there were empties in most areas. Surprisingley (my spelling is getting worse!!) the atmosphere was quite good. Especially when the near riot broke out at the end!!

Look at this way Soops. You had a lot more (and I mean a lot more) than the Smoggies did on Saturday against the current Chumps. The downside of course being that more saw you lose :-( From what little I saw in Sky, yuo had the vast majority of posession, but a combination of bad finishing and bad finishing let you down.

I have no problem with the majority of 'banter' that I receive.

All I was pointing out is that we have receieved tons more than you.

It now takes a lot for me to really lose my head.

Well done to soops for coming on here and facing the music as it were. I would also like to congratulate Kevin phillips for not removing festa's head from his shoulders last night, if he did he would have been well within his rights. I found festa spitting in the face of phillips absolutley repugnant. For that sort of behaviour he should be banned for at least a month and be made to clean out the boggs of riverside with his tootbrush.

Syme, I agree about Festa's spitting, absolutely disgusting. Phillips would have been wrong to smack him though as SGE was watching, and that wouldn't help his chances.

Honestly, I think Phillips would be a better choice than Heskey (although Ricketts and Owen sounds like a canny pair to me)
