Must admit that I didn't see it coming.....a big step down for him surely?

I wonder if he's got some short term deal where he can leave if they get relegated or if a bigger club come in for him....

There was talk of him getting a cool million if he kept them up - a tall order but not bad money for 3-4 months work!

So much for that break from football he was so desperate to take.

A million pound cheque can be amazing therapy!

Heard his agent last night being very 'correct' about the Villa situation. Gregory apparently agreed not to talk to the media when he left. Totally refute's allegation that Gregory's phone bill had calls to a Derby director listed. (New one on me!)Curiously, this agent is also the agent of old Red Nose Schmeichel too, who's being touted by some as a possible replacement for Gregory. Not even Deadly Doug could be that stupid though.
