Does anyone want my niche sellin jam at s farmers market???

greenspun.com : LUSENET : barter board : One Thread

I am *SO* sick of making jelly, but it seems a waste to just drop an established market with customers who will be looking for jelly. I usually gross $35 to $85 dollers every saturday, with about half that going for jars, pectin, fruit etc. I sell best when I have unusual types of jam to offer, and I would be happy to give information on what has done well for me in the past. The market is located in Lenexa old town, which is in east central Kansas. The market master is also looking for more honey (more customers than honey available), goats milk soap, ceramics, or anything to add variety to what we have. For myself, now that the kids are older I think I shall see if I cannot spend more time outside this summer, instead of over a hot stove!!!

Oh! I am not asking for ANYTHING, I just hate to waste an established outlet for jelly!!

Terri, where exactly is it located in Lenexa? I really don't want to do jelly, but we do do woodcarvings and was wondering about the location.

Thanks Lynette

Lenexa is just west of the Kansas City Kansas metro area. Find Kansas City and go due east. Lenexa is at the very edge of the built up area. Woodcarvings (handmade) would be perfectly welcome: I have been told an older lady built up a ceramics business before I came.

I apologise if I took some time to respond: I have been without power for 3 days!

Hi Terri, could you give me the information on the market? Who to contact to sell there? When does it begin? I am really looking for a place to sell a variety of items, from bedding plants (flowers/veggies) to eggs, fresh veggies, and offer "orders" for naturally raised Cornish Cross meat, pork, etc.. Also, I might be able to wholesale with the Amish in our area for Honey, soap and other items to sale at the market. I would really appreciate any info you have. Thank You!
