1-0 to DR Congo

Lualua was in the goal with a well taken freekick. He crossed it for an unmarked player who headed straight at the keeper, then another player nodded the ball in.

If the result holds, DR Congo is through to the next round !!!

Lualua is playing in central midfield.

2-0 to Congo. Luax2 looking lively - but, then, when doesn't he? Pitch has the same bounce as the old placca one at Loftus Road.

...and he slices high and wide with only the keeper to beat. Spectacular miss.

then forces a magnificent save from the goalie!

3-0...followed by one of the best team goal celebrations you'll ever see.

Ended 3-1. LuaLua with two assists and a half hearted argument for him to take the penalty.

Couple of good shots, couple of bad ones too but he was one of their best players easily (which isn't saying that much)

Lua lua in a quote from the comentator (in good positions but not being seen by his teem mates). His name wasn't mentioned a lot but when it was he made an impact. Three chances to score and he failed ever time. It might have been a good save from the keeper but he ran straight at the keeper instead of trying a shot before he reached him.

John solako reckoned last night that Luax2 and some other blerk have been the stars that have got DR Congo through to the quarter finals.

I only saw the highlights but he hit a peach of a free-kick into the box that lead to the 1st goal and laid another on a plate.

Well done Luax2 - actually, this experience and the responsibility he has had to take could make him a much better player.
