Now this is what you call clothes!

Over To You, Senator Dodd: The desperate Gotcha game of trying to turn Enron into a verb continues. This time it's Chris Dodd's turn in the barrel. The always coiled and ready to strike Dick Morris reaches out this morning and gives Dodd a serious nip. It other words, he enrons him.

Duck, Terry, Backlash On Its Way: No sooner had DNC Chairman Terry MacAullife turned off the talking points tape in his brain from his Sunday round of shows than Global Crossing tanked. His $100,000 investment in the late 90s netted him some $18 million. The Washington Times has the scoop.

Here's Number Three: We hope you have been reading the Woodward-Balz series on the administrations response to and the aftermath of September 11th. Part Three is just as stunning as the first two. . Our dedicated West Coast Editor has provided you with links to those as well.

Letter For Greta: So sure are we that Greta von Susteren is a feminist we would bet a puppy's eyes. Yet, this "cool, professional" got her husband, ambulance chasing Scientologist John Coale to write a letter to her former CNN bosses complaining that her "feelings had been hurt." Get a grip, girl. Only a fool has her husband for a lawyer let alone permits him write about "feelings." Here Slate does some second day commenting.

"Historic Levels of Public Support": Those are the words the Washington Post uses to describe W's position hours away from making his second State of the Union speech. They also say all that could go in the dumper should Enron land jelly side down on the Bushies in the "weeks or months to come." Few scandals lacking a dead girl or a live boy can sustain the country's interest that long and Enron has one fatal flaw........ it's about math. The single most dreaded word in the English language.

LDotter End Note: Call-in segments at CNN and C-Span are the current favorite targets for programmed callers, usually working from retirement enclaves. Here are some buzz phrases to listen for. "Draft dodger," "Where was Bush during those missing six months when he was in the National Guard?" and the latest, "Bill Clinton has more brains in his little finger than..........." You will hear these over and over again. These folks are reading from a sheet provided by local democrat organizations. "More brains in his little finger" is our favorite. We know where that finger has been.

I think Lucianne is mistaken about the Enron scandal "having no legs" because it's about math. It is math about money.
