Australian Saddle NEW. Very Very Sweet.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : barter board : One Thread

I just bought a brand new Aussie (leather) saddle that is WAY too big for my little horse. It was hand made in Australia (signed and numbered) and is just too beautiful to stand. I paid $325 for it at an auction. If I had bought it in a store it would have been more than $1500. All fittings are included. It is 18" (equivalant to 16" Western) and is a Quarter Horse-full size. It weights about 25lbs. It is a warm butterscotch tan with contrasting dark brown thigh/knee pads and cantle. WOW, looks cool. It has all brass fittings too. The brass needs a shining tho. I have several pictures of it in .bmp format. I haven't figured out yet how to post that info. I will read up and find out. Maybe I can email the pics? I don't know yet being computer challenged! Anyway, I am just starting out this Spring with homesteading and probably need lots of things. Like tools, fencing, solar electric fence stuff, roofing (no house yet, just a travel trailer). No electricity, no plumbing, no garden yet. No animals other than horse, dogs, cats and bugs lol. I expect to know more about what I need soon, maybe you have ideas?

I know what I would really really like. An Aspen wood stove. I know, I'm dreaming....

That saddle is gorgeous! If you can't barter it, sell it on Ebay, it will sell very well.
