I now have some of my Leica photos up.

I have been living with the Leica R system since early November, and here are a few of my shots with them. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Lance

My favorite is the shot with the cheerleaders, simply because it is the one shot in the group that you couldn't go back and shoot anytime. Great peak action!

Hi, Lance:

I agree with Al's opinion. Second preferred: " ...at the pool table".

Thanks for your demonstration of the 90mm, f2.8. I'm thinking about it . . .

Nice work Lance! The cheerleaders would have been more dramatic from a more acute angle and minus the distracting referee. The timing was perfect as you got them at their peak. Try getting closer and shooting from the floor as well so as to maximize the elevation. The pool shot was a good composition but the area of overexposure near the player's head weakens it. WATCH OUT FOR EXCESSIVE CONTRAST/LIGHT. The B-ball action seens are good but you need to capture the ballplayers emotion, that is the million dollar shot we all strive for. Since you obviously like sports, consider buying or renting a motor or even a winder. I have the latter and find it quite helpful in fast moving situations. (8>))--Albert

Cheerleaders, misc sports photos, and other typical junk WE'VE ALL SEEN THOUSANDS OF TIMES BEFORE IN OUR DAILY NEWSPAPERS!!! Geez, it's sooooo common some fred with lots of $$$$ to put down on a Leica but yet never learns to take interesting photos.

Everyone read this: Just because you buy a nice camera does not make you a photographer. duh!

Another first time poster idiot.

I thought they were very effective.

Lance - I think you must be a professional sports photographer? Sorry, I can't keep up with everyone's biodata, especially the polite and unobtrusive ones.

Jeez, Conrad, I never claimed these were my best photos ever! I was just excited to get my first Leica photos back from an assingment. Is there a place where we can see some of your photos?

Yes Rob, I do a lot of sports for a local paper. I know it shows, but I'm trying to get out of "the rut". The following URL will take you to my photo.net page with my niece's baptism photos. (All taken with an Olympus Stylus Epic, my favorite P&S of all time.)
