Colin Cooper's Tragedy

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I felt it should be mentioned on here that tragically Boro defender, Colin Cooper, lost his two year-old son on Saturday evening.

Apparently, the poor little mite choked on a small piece of a toy.

This is every parents worst nightmare, and I'm sure we would all pass on our sincerest condolences to Colin and his wife at this awful time.

It's a horrible tragedy that anyone who's a parent must be able to relate to. It's impossible to keep everything away from them at that age, let alone keep your eyes on them the whole time. I just hope they're not beating themselves up about it too much...........I can't bear thinking about it any more.

That's so sad. As Clarky says, every parent's worst nightmare. My heart goes out for Cooper and his family.

I read about it this morning and felt sick, quite literally. Does anyone know of a Boro site where we can go and pass on our respects?

Nick - there is a special message board on the Boro rivals.net site for poor Finlay Cooper.

The url is "http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=892&p=16"

Very sad news, it must have been a big shock for Colin Cooper, such a stark contrast to the celebrations after the Man Utd game.
