looking for fertile turkey eggs

I'm looking for fertile turkey eggs we can raise in our incubator. I have wool to trade or would be willing to buy.

Where are you located (just a general). I have turkey hens that are starting to lay but unsure about shipping them

Hi Kim, I have blue slate turkeys but we must live in different parts of the country if you're looking for turkeys ready to lay. That won't happen around here until May at the earliest. One hen hatched 15 eggs last fall and another hatched hers while we were in California and none made it outside on their own. I'm selling them for $35 each.

Hi Tana, When I ship eggs I just wrap them in newspaper and then stuff crumpled newspaper in the box between the eggs to keep them from rolling around. Then write fragile on the out side of the box. I'm interested in your turkey eggs too. Daryll

Thanks Daryll,

Kim and I were wondering how we were going to do this... BTW my turkeys are Royal Palms. Something went haywire earlier this Fall and they laid a bunch of eggs. These were birds that I sort of rescued. They were young birds in a small pen and I didn't think they were getting enough to eat. The owner was killed in a car accident and I worked for the estate (whole place was a big mess). They wanted to pay me but I didn't feel right taking money so the heir asked me to take the turkeys. As soon as I started feeding them, they started laying eggs... seemed to be making up for lost time and obviously these young hens first eggs. They are big beautiful birds now and I am hoping for lots more eggs later this Spring.

Kim,

I am hoping that you have the setting that will alert you when you get a response here. Something has gone wrong with my server and I can recieve emails but cannot send anything. I am planning on sending your eggs on Monday--- just too darm busy to get to it before then. Spring has just about whipped my tail around here between critters having babies, kids activities (human), and other strange life situations right now. Hang in there. I haven't forgotten them!!
