Pitch inspection

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Just heard on radio - team haven't even left for ground yet. Inspection is at 3.

Nowt like leaving it to the last minute is there? When people have travelled hundreds of miles. Of course because it's on Sky I expect it still to go ahead. If not we lose Robert for the Spurs game instead.

Looks like it's on. No Dyer in team - sore foot they say. A place for McClen in the side. Interesting.

Well, I suppose it's wise to rest Dyer if he's already carrying a niggle. He's more important to us on Weds. The state of the pitch today probably wouldn't do him any favours. However, McClen doesn't instill much confidence in me. I guess it was too late to ring Bassedas and have him hop a plane to Lahn-daan? ;-)
