Spare tickets (plus a lift) to P'boro

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Just been told by Mungo he knows of spare tickets for the P'boro match. I'll be driving down in the Stealth Astra, leaving Toonside circa 9:50-10:00 and there's one place going free in the car if anybody fancies it. Otherwise, if you can make your own way doon, or travelling from Sooth, other tix avail.

I'll be out for the rest of the day - try me on 07967 275792 or leave a message on here if you want either a ticket or a lift. Can't promise but will do me best lyek.

PS. Don't bother dropping me an e-mail - Genie is well and truly stuck in his bottle right now :-(

MUNGO UPDATE - 6 Tickets NOW GONE but 3 left if you are VERY VERY QUICK.

What's the matter with you lot? You don't want me singing tomorrow "BBS stayed at home......and watched it on the telly" do you?

Ay chance you can swing by Winchester and pick me up Screach? ;-)

Just what I was thinking Geordie! (:o)

MUNGO UPDATE - 7 Gone, 2 now left.

Whats wrong with everybody. Oh I forgot, it's on the telly. And the weathers bad. And it's a Sunday. And it's too far to travel.

Toon Army, Pathetic Army at times if you ask me.

Bet you all want a ticket for the SMB game though.

Get yourself to Peterborough and support the lads. IT'S YOUR DUTY!

Have I gently made my point? ;-)

You've convinced me, Mungo!

Ermm.....do you know of anyone with a spare transatlantic airline ticket leaving tonight? ;-)

-- Anonymous, January 26, 2002

When I wrote that Ciara I did consider you to be the exception!

Anyway how's it gannin hinny? ;-)

Oh and P.S. The tickets are too expensive at £15?

Well, the Stealth Astra © passenger manifest is full now. Stand-by bookings are also filling quickly! Apparently, due to impending air-traffic-control changes, I am not allowed to re-reoute via Winchester or indeed anywhere further south than the Thames.

Howay the Lads!!

MUNGO UPDATE - 8 GONE, 1 LEFT.

Many thanks to Wonky, Screacher, Steph and Softie. The REAL Toon Army!

;-)

Thanks lads, I was dreading watching that one on the telly. You're both stars!

Too expensive at 15 pounds??? They don't know what they're missing! Good to see it looks like you've got takers. Weather allowing, I'm looking forward to hearing you all on telly!

MUNGO

I would have loved to have taken you up on your offer.. Even would have driven there myself - Bad weather or not - even Sunday afternoon

BUT the missus has buggered off to Germany leaving me with the Bairn. he would have loved to come but he is only just three and Peterborough don't offer a Creche

Never mind Him and me will be roaring the lads on from in front of the fire

TOON army were some of his first words.

See you tomorrow folks - will watch out for the Stealth Astra!

Bob, divorce the missus for being so selfish and unreasonable.

Leave the bairn with wor lass, who is a kind understanding wife and mother (i.e. does what she is told when the Toon are playing) and come in the van with me and the lads. ;-)

If not, enjoy it on the telly and tell the bairn of all the good times ahead. Lucky little beggar, I've had to wait since 1955 to see us win the cup and he only has to wait until MAY!

Canny offer that mind Mungo. Next time I'm stuck, will she look after my 2 bairns as well? They don't need much looking after. 12 pints of Stella for one and 8 for the other should just about do ;-) CU the morra marra.
