Hello, I was given a Canon Eos kiss 3 as a gift and currently have two Canon lenses (a 28-80 and a 75-300). I have the oppurtunity to purchase a Sigma 90mm macro (1:2) AF lens. Can anyone tell me if this lens will fit my camera body? I would appreciate any help that you may be able to give me. Thank You Sue

I should have also said that the lens in question is advertised as a 'Canon EOS fit' Sigma 90mm f 2.8 macro lens. I found a fact sheet on the canon kiss 3 at the Canon camera musuem site

Hi Sue

Sigma make lenses that fit various manufacturers camera bodies but they are not interchangeable i.e. one for a Nikon body cannot go on a Canon body. So long as the one you get is Canon EOS fit then there is no problem. Reviews in the UK rate the Sigma 90mm macro a good buy. If you do buy on eBay (or any where else for that matter) make sure you aren't paying too much - check the cost of a new one with your local dealer.

I have the Sigma 105mm Macro lens which I use on my EOS cameras. It is excellent. The advertised product you refer to is the older 90mm Macro lens which doesn't rate as highly and which I believe only goes to a half-size rather than full-size 1:1 macro. So don't bid too much.

DO NOT BUY THE SIGMA-I REPEAT-DO NOT BUY THE SIGMA. This 90mm as well as the 24mmf2.8 will not function on any of the elan series or eye controll canons. This will present a problem if you upgrade.It sure did for me. If you want a good priced macro go for the highly rated vivitar 100 macro.
