Enron Scandal

Jan. 25 — Former Enron Vice Chairman J. Clifford Baxter was found dead in his car in a Houston suburb Friday. Texas police said the cause of death was suicide.

The latest in a crazy saga. Who's following this story, and what do you have to say about it?

I have three words to say about this:

Suicide, my ass.

The MOC said the same thing tonight.

They ruled it a suicide, though. I wonder what the alleged note says.

Don't you mean the "re-leged" note, Al? I think you do.

I didn't even know about this until this thread. I need to go find an article.

I do mean that, yes.

I heard on the news that Jesse Jackson is leading a busload of Enron people to D.C.? I can't find a story on it anywhere, so maybe I dreamed that? Can anyone confirm? Because that's crazy.

No, Al, I think it's legit. Last I heard, though, someone asked (read: paid) him to drop it.

Ken Lay's wife says he's innocent. I'm no cynic, but, uh, right...

Was anyone else watching the hearings this weekend? Man, it was pitiful.
