When a breeder breeds 8 poodle bitches before Xmas in time to sell puppies at Christmas.Would this breeder be a puppy mill? Please give me your answer. Have been given this information and it distresses me very much indeed. Heather.

Is there anyone reading this forum that can tell us all what the AKC and CKC are doing about breeders that over breed their stock and breed to many litters? Are they just interested in making more money on registrations,than the welfare of the animals? If this is so,what can the membership do to correct this issue? If we paid higher membership dues,would this save some of our precious poos from being born in a world of puppy mills? With the higher dues would AKC and CKC make tighter rulings on registrations? This is a problem that concerns all animal lovers.The poos cannot speak for themselves,we have to all get together and speak for them The more that get involved,the quicker we will save some of our poos from a life of hell. We must band together to help our canine friends. One person on their own talking out is not enough. Have already written to CKC. If every member of CKC and AKC wrote to them regarding puppy mills maybe we might have a ray of light. Even if we save the lives of one group of puppy mill puppies its better than none, its a start.
