Does anyone own a villa somewhere nice, and would consider renting it out cheap to a fellow toon fan and his hoards of kids?

Algarve or Spain would be nice, actually I fancy going to Universal studios in costa dorada (or whatever it's called) near Salou. Don't have many Euros though, ...... I've fallen on hard times but need a Holiday.

I'm still waiting for an invitation to play and stay at a certain persons cottage in Embeleton(sp?)

Good idea PB, I wonder if you can sell children on E bay?

-- Anonymous, January 24, 2002

I tried it on e-bay but the 28 days return clause ruined everything

I have a mate with a villa in Cyprus. Don't know how much and not too easy to get to Universal Studios in Spain from there. I'm thinking of going later in the year so wouldn't want you trashing the place before I go.

Alternatively, there's a nice little place next to my gym.

If all that fails, you could send yer missus to stay with me ;-)

Thanks for that Screacher but I WANT THEME PARKS.

I thought your dad had built you one in the back garden? Now I'm wondering what all those plastic gnomes were for.

Re the villa in northern Cyprus, I hope your mate checked who owned the land first. With Turkey wanting to join the EEC and the border possibly coming down, there'll be lots of displaced Greek Cypriots claiming back land they owned before the invasion - including my outinlaws ;-).

The Breamish cottages look nice though. We normally stay somewhere just a little further south around Longhorsley overlooking the Cheviots - same sort of thing though.

Pete - Longhorsely is just that bit closer to Tyneside so probably more convenient. However, if you like walking, cycling (or fishing?), it's a really nice area. And if you like drinking, there's always The Plough ;-)

Is the Plough under 5 friendly? Probably not if it's a real (ie drinking) pub

Jeez, I can't wait till April, when we're due up. The thought of all that beautiful open countryside whilst looking out of the window at the grime and grind of overpopulated London is driving me crazy.

Depends on time of day. Lunchtime is probably OK but come 1:00am they might not be so accommodating ;-) Gizzashout next time you're up. I might be oot the country in March/early April but later (after Easter??) should be back.

Cheers Screach. 13-20th April to be precise, so we might miss you.

Doug Ellis has a villa although the manager has just quit so you may find it a bit of a shambles

-- Anonymous, January 24, 2002

my parents have got a one bedroomed apartment in spain (sleeps 4) I'll the send details if your interested. I dunno whereabouts it is yet.

-- Anonymous, January 25, 2002

I'm interested if it's cheap and near a golf course .

-- Anonymous, January 25, 2002

Mirdora Del Mediterraneo, Torrevieja. Near 3 golf courses Cost £95 a week if you leave it as you find it or £115 if you have the cleaner come in after you. (thats for march april may jun sept & oct)

-- Anonymous, January 26, 2002

Ooh - I was in Torrevieja last week. Canny weather up in the 20s - which having left home with snow on the ground, wasn't bad at all. Car hire cost me all of £83 for a week and the flights from Gatport Airwick to Alicante were very reasonable - more expensive from Woolsingham mind you.

The only downside being, my (ex-) missus lives there :-(
