Chopra

"Michael Chopra may have earned himself a first senior call-up after scoring twice against Hartlepool in a 4-3 private practice victory yesterday. The England Under-19 striker could well now land a place on The Magpies' bench for Sunday's FA Cup tie at Peterborough after his two-goal blast at Newcastle's training ground."

I'll have a word with my friend Rishi (Indian origin) when I play football tonight - he's Chopra's cousin (my mate's aunty is Chopra's mam)

However, I reckon he wouldn't have a clue if he's in the squad anyway, as it's probably bollocks

Well, Jamie Coppinger - who has been playing well - has gone on a two month loan to Hartlepool (again) so Chopra has moved up another rung in the hierarchy.

He could make the bench on Sunday, and even if he didn't get on it would be great experience for him.

Bobby's comments referred particularly to Chopra when he mentioned throwing in a young un or two

It'd be a good idea to give him a quick go if we are cruising, but perhaps not if we are struggling, unless we get injuries (which is a real possiblity against the likes of Peterborough)

If we are 4-0 up with half an hour left, bring him on, it'll be a great experience for him, as Clarky said. Half an hour would be much better than a relatively meaningless 25 second stint at the end.
