Spurs 3-0 Chelsea

If they play like this we is going to get stuffed in midfield and get hammered

Sir Les will be back by then

We are the sort of team that could beat Spurs - if we play our bog standard 4-4-2 and attack them. Although Gary Speed's loss will be notable, Acuna has had some pretty decent games for us. We can't afford not to attack them or we will get stuffed.

3-1 to Arsenal, 90 minutes just about up

4-0 to Spurs, diving Davies

It doesn't matter how Spurs play against Chelsea. It matters how they play against us. Sunderland held Chelsea to a 0-0 draw and we probably agree that we are currently a better football team than Sunderland but we lost to Chelsea. Spurs will probably beat us but it won't really matter in the scheme of things.

however I can envisage Acuna being run around like a headless chicken on that rather large pitch at WHL by a midfield that keeps the ball and passes

We are pretty good at keeping the ball when we play well though.

With Dyer, Bellamy, Robert, Solano and Shearer they should be the ones running about like headless chickens. If we go into the match fearing a team then we will only get beaten.

We COULD have beaten Man Utd at OT, but too many of our team were scared and lacked confidence against them. There is no reason why we can't beat Spurs at WHL, if only to make up for that farce there last season.

We SHOULD have beaten them last year and would had Dyer not got sent off

-- Anonymous, January 23, 2002

Exactly my point, it decended into farce the moment Dyer was sent off. We were well on top.

Just out of interest, how many players have been given a straight red for telling the linesman to "f**k off" after the baldy git laughs in your face when you contest a decision?

Obviously you can't excuse Dyer for it, but I am certain if this "rule" was enforced in every match, there would be at least 5 sendings off in every game.

Agreed - I'm all for hammering players who abuse the officials but there's no point in just doing it now and then, you've got to do it every time or not at all.
