Leitz Elmaron 60mm F2.8 Projector Lens

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I have been on the lookout unsuccessfully for several years for the above lens. It is for the Pradovit CA2500 projector. The lens Part No. is 37004. It has the merit (as compared with the 50mm version) of not requiring a change of condenser. There is more than one range of Leica/Leitz projector lenses called Elmaron, and only the range designed for the C2500 series will fit, as far as I can establish. As the Part No. is not shown on the lens, I can only describe it by saying that it is a solid metal job with a lens barrel diameter of 42.5mm. If anyone comes across this lens, or has any bright ideas about how I can find one (adverts in the UK photographic press have not worked) I should be most grateful if they can let me know.

Many thanks. Regards to all.

It is obvious, but you have tried Leica themselves. Have they any left in stock, anywhere?

Robin,

Many thanks for your reply. I did try them several years ago (at Milton Keynes) without success. But you have a good idea in trying other Leica bases, or asking MK to do so. I'll have a go.

My main aim is to alert readers to my need in the hope that someone will remember it when standing in front of that inviting box of odds and ends at a camera fair somewhere.

Best wishes.
