i heard that if you use a flash with a cord from the hotshoe to the flash (elaniie to 380ex) that you lose e-ttl flash control? is this true? do you still get ttl?

Answers

If you use a Canon Off Camera Shoe Cord 2, then E-TTL is preserved. However, if you use any other cord, all bets are off!
