Rebel 2000 Midroll rewind

Hi All

Does the mid roll rewind of Rebel 2000 leave the film leader out so that we can load it again? Can we use the same technique that is explained in one of the previous question http://www.greenspun.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg.tcl?msg_id=007knv in order to advance the film without light exposure? This question was about EOS5, and I hope this is same in Rebel 2000 too?

No, and yes.

If you want to take chances you can use the midroll rewind method outlined here:

I do it all the time on my Elan and have yet to wreck any film.

Or just get a film leader retrieval tool that will last the rest of your life or photographic career, which ever finishes first :-)
