A Texas chili receipe,

Howdy you all, Its nice to have another forum to visit.I have a receipe I make for chili, with out tomatoe sauce, and the flavor is wonderful.

Irene" chili

3 pds of ground chili meat, or regular hambugar.

1 quart of water, and add more if you need it.

6 tbls chili powder, less if you want

3 tsp. salt

10 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

1 teas. ground cumin

1 teas ground oregano

1 teas ground marjoram

1 tablespoon sugar

3 tablespoon paprika

Sear meat in olive oil or whatever oil you use. Add water, Simmer

2 hrs, Add seasoning, simmer for another hour,

Then in a small bowl, mix in one cup of water, 3 tablespoons of

flour and 6 tablespoons of yellow cornmeal, Add this to chili to

thicken, Cook for 10 mins more, Add water if needed, Open a can of

plain pinto beans if you wish, and add to chili. Not needed,

I can this occasionaly, 10 pds pressure for 1 hr, 20 min. Also

freezes well.Enjoy

Thanks Irene! I will have to try this. I have a friend who is allergic to tomatoes and I am going to pass along this recipe.
