BBC Poll - are the GITMO prisoners being treated fairly?

BBC Poll

At this time, about 61% say yes, of over 25,000 voters. Also many e-mails giving opinions--far more than I would have expected are favorable. But then I was shocked by the 61% Yes votes.

I voted for Gore twice there. I felt he needed a little 'pick me up'.

LOL

The poll is still ongoing--and the Yesses have gone down by about a point since I first posted this, around 0800 eastern.

Anyone who has been researching government sponsored mind programming and/or exotic "interrogation" techniques would surely conclude that it is very unlikely that those prisoners are being treated in accordance with the Geneva Convention. There is evidence of a coverup going on with regard to those detainees, otherwise why would it be so difficult for independent investigation groups to get to see them and obtain direct answers to questions about treatment?

For that matter, why would they be taken to an isolated place like Gitmo Bay if all that was going on was to try to contain them for public trial? Or doesn't our military intend to have a public trial until they have squeezed every bit of information they can from those guys, and maybe added a "program" or two into their subconscious? Trust us, we're the good guys. Yeh, right.
