Photofinishing in Beijing

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I will be staying in Beijing for a week during the coming Chinese New Year in mid February. Do any one know the best photofinishing shop there preferably equipped with Fuji Frontier photofinishing system and can handle both 35mm and 120mm negative films? Thanks.

C.W., I was in Beijing this past October and was staying near the Beijing University Medical School. There were a couple of photofinishing storefronts along the main road. I used the shop that featured Fuji. The work done was very good. The cost for double 5x7 prints and processing of a 24 exposure roll was about $12. Smaller prints were much cheaper. These places can be found anywhere. One day I was by the main campus for lunch. Dropped to roll off before lunch and had the prints before the finger bowls came out.

C.W. Last time I was in Beijing, about April, there was a good modern camera shop on Wangfujing Lu pedestrian mall, between the reconstructed church/Crowne Plaza Hotel and near the Subway sandwich shop that did good work. They also make good A4 prints from digital files, if I recall correctly.
