My Apologies!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I want to apologize to you folks because I did not adequately search the archives this morning before posting my question about the difference between the 35/2 summicron and the asph version below. There has quite obviously been more than sufficient discussion of this topic previously as I have since discovered. I am grateful that those of you who answered didn't just flame me, but instead pointed me in the right direction. I will certainly try to do a better search of the archives before asking questions in the future. Mea Culpa!! (and Thanks!!)

No need to apologize! We all had a ripping good time discussing your question, Steve.

Threads do get lost from time to time and when a topic is hot they get revived in this manner.

I think the 35mm lens is THE major lens for many people, and this is why the topic of the new Leica 35's comes up so much.

I agree fully with the above replies. This forum is not that straightforward to "search," so repeat topics are bound to crop up from time to time. Posting links to existing threads is the best thing. When and if we move into photo.net, there will be a regular search feature which is good. But the downfall will be that, with our ever growing community, excessive repeat topics will have to be tastefully handled.

"excessive repeat topics will have to be tastefully handled"

but we all know the most capable person to trust for this delicate job, Tony.
