really cheap fruit trees?

Several years ago i bought my dad some really cheap fruit trees. they were the size of pencils, but they grew real fast. they had ads in the sunday paper or somewhere. i think there operation was mcminnville tenn. i found about 40 nurseries in that area. anyone know ther name. i bought about 20 trees for about 50 dollars?

McMinnville IS THE nursery capital of the world so probablyany of them would have what you are looking for but as you said that was several years ago so don't expect them to still be that cheap.

i don't expect them to be that cheap, but the trees turned out great. Actually better then alot of the high priced ones that i have bought. So they might be higher than then, but they might be cheaper and better than anyone else. I already knew how many growers there were in that county, thats why i asked the question. i don't understan why people that don't have an answer, have to give one and be so down. be happy and remember the glass is not half empty, but half full, not only that, your half way to the next glass

I live near McMinnville. We've used Cumberland which has zillions of peaches and some other things. We also used Hollydale but can't remember if they were there or not - maybe in nearby Pelham?. The little saplings from both of them did well for us. Good Luck.

I think the nursery you are looking for is Vernon Barnes and Son P.O.BOX 250S2 McMinnville, TENN. 37111 Ph.(931)668-2165 I ordered from them 2 years ago and was very pleased with the quality, size and especially price of their fruit trees. example of prices, peaches- $2.29 each 10 for $22 apples $3.98 each 10 for $37.50 lots of different variety's.

thanks, i called and they are sending me a catalog. i did go through a bunch of web sites and found some inexpensive trees. flower city, forest nursery and hermans nursery all in tenn. thanks
