Any Plans?

Going down to Mansfield Sunday for me Mam's 80th birthday. (And before anyone says I am a midland glory hunter can I add that my parents left me up here when they moved south as part of The Great Pit Migration of the 1960s)

Supposed to be taking a friend out to her favorite pizza restaurant for her 'last supper' tomorrow. She's due to have a major operation next week so won't be able to eat normally for about 2mos. We may have to postpone til Sunday, though if the 4 inches of snow falls as predicted tomorrow. Other than that, I may get brave and make my first attempt at my new hobby...watercolor painting. Somehow I have visions of more paint winding up on the cat than on the paper. ;-)

Use a brush ciara, lot less messy than using a cat.

But the effect isn't the same.

Looking forward to wor lass coming out of hospital tomorrow. She's having a few troubles with the pregnancy (triplets: two fibroids and one baby!), and although only 20 weeks pregnant and is going to have to put her feet up for the rest of the pregnancy, while I look after her.

If I get time, I might pop into work for the webcast, in between looking for houses. I don't think you'd want to compare prices, Gav! Id I can put up with a 15 min drive to work I could get a 200 year old stone farm house on half an acre for £75,000!

St Albans area is one of them we're looking around, Harpenden...Old Wellwyn (sp?) and places like that.....doing surrey and sussex next weekend :)

wow 75k for that is amazing...mind you it's only cheap cos you have to put up with bloody frogs everywhere! france would be an amazing country if you could get rid of those tossers ;)))

It's also 90 min from Paris, which changes prices much as London does. And the French aren't too bad once you get to know them, as long as you insist that you're a Geordie, not English!

Bollox to this weekend, as long as we win I'll be happy. Gotta start a research paper on the " Flexible v's Fixed Exchange rates, the European monetary system, and macroeconomic policy co-ordination". I might venture outside to ring some overly zealous chicago bears fans' bell. Never has the adage "where were you when you were shit" been more apt. Last year you couldn't give away bears tickets, now their in the playoffs, every fecker wants one.

Flying back to Blighty on Saturday, sdaly too late to make it to Leicester. Long drive back from Gatport Airwick to Geordieland on Saturday afternoon (radio tuned in to here the scores/broadcast) then hopefully a 60th Barfday Party in Blyth (nah, not mine before yiz aal start) on Saturday evening. Sunday will probably pass me by without me waking up.

I hope my ex-ticket is in safe hands. Give ´em a Screach from me.

Two hour taxi to Toronto tonight, then I'm flying off to Cuba for 8 days.

Just busy now ironing my week's supply of Che Guevara t-shirts! ;-)

Actually, I intend 'pigging it', in true Hemingway style, I can already hear those bells tolling.

syme, surely you could get your Dad to help you with that homework? :- )
