Are you looking for tree seedlings to plant this spring?

I thought that I'd plug a local nursery who sells tree seedlings in quantity. IMHO, thier prices are very low and the quality is very high. For instance, one can order 500 conifer seedlings for as little as $95 plus shipping. Many hardwood varities sell for $160 for 500 seedlings. These seedlings come in styrofoam blocks with a soil plug around the roots of each indiviual seedling.

Thanks for posting that. I was looking for a source of cottonwoods for stream bank planting.

Also check with the Dept of Nat. Resources. They too sell seedlings and field planted trees at a VERY reasonable rate....

Our local state extension offices have information on seedling trees in a variety of configurations/assortments for well under $100. The only 'catch' is that they'll send you a MINIMUM of one hundred trees! You might want to check with your extension office, too. I hope this helps.

That's the problem in West Virginia. The prices are great but I don't need hundreds of trees for what I'm doing. Anyone know of a source for sliipery elm?
