Questions about Hotmail account

I received this message from my Hotmail account:

Don't lose your Hotmail account

Did you know? If you don't sign in to MSN HotmailŪ for 30 days, your account becomes inactive and: You lose all e-mails and attachments in your Inbox and other folders All of your incoming e-mail gets rejected You lose all contacts in your Address Book

Does anyone know if just going to the Hotmail inbox is the same as signing in? How do I sign in if it isn't? I check mine just about everyday, so I don't know if this is enough??

Yes i believe Checking your email is the same as signing in . If they sent you something and you've been checking regularly, it may be because its routine to let people know , what happens if you don't. I keep getting these Bachellorette of the day things, and they've been coming for the last two weeks, so whats up with me being the ONLY BACHELLOR in the world?? =)

I got the same message on both of my hotmail accounts. I don't have anything I'd regret losing if they get cute, though.

I got the same message today, Melissa. I think they're just trying to sell their $19.95 service. I just hit my friendly DELETE button. As long as you check your mail regularly, I don't think you have a thing to worry about.

I use mine exclusively for incoming mail, and I received a "30 day use" warning today.

If you have any e-mails to safeguard you can forward them to your ISP e-mail account, and it will be available or click file, save as, then change whatever appears in the save-in box to your floppy drive name (usually A:) and save.

Yes, checking email is the same as signing in. You have to sign in to check the email! If you checked the box to sign in automatically you are still signing in each time you use your email.

MSN is notorious for trying to squeeze more money out of you. The fee they emailed you about is only for those who don't have access to a computer for long periods of time, or for those who need more space for emails. The average person doesn't need it.

So not to worry...it you check your email regularly your okay!
