Manual Leicas VS battery automation

Hello from Frigid Canada now.

Well, I'm back home in Canada for a while and I was brought face to face witha very good reason why Leicas are what they are: Batteries weaken in cols weather.

I was using the Konica RF in some nasty cold windy conditions, and although there was no serious effects, because I had teh camera out for only a few minutes, I realized that if I wwere out for a day or even a few hours, teh manual M6 would still be quite at home, whereas a battery powered camera would need to be kept warm etc etc.

Richard:

The M6 TTL shutter/aperture will work in cold weather, but the light meter would stop functioning after a few minutes! With the batteries out of commission, the flash contacts on the M6 TTL will also not work! I found this out the hard way last winter while shooting outside in 32 degree F weather! My Canon EOS-1N RS was unaffected by the cold and kept on working perfectly.
