Tend to agree with macbeth. He would be an expensive acquisition and is one of these players who still hasn't really established himself in the PL or established his best position - another Steve Watson if you like.

He is a smashing player, but doesn't seem to have the physical presence to play CB, and isn't quite a top FB or wide m/f player. I like him, but I'm not sure where we would play him, and we simply haven't got the brass to make uncertain investments of this magnitude.
