Share price

I see our recent run of results has not made a blind bit of difference to the share price. Does the financial market not reckon we'll get a Champions League place? You would have thought the money that comes from even a UEFA place would have some impact. And that doesn't take into acount increased valuations of players like Dyer, Bellamy, O'Brien, Given etc.

I was tempted to but some the other day, but a clearer head prevailed eventually. As you suggest, what happens on the pitch appears to have feckall effect on the price.

Peter - I suspect concerns over the possibility of FS taking the Club private again (with or without DH), the financial problems of equity and JV partner, NTL, and the possible impact of the financial problems of Cameron Hall - as suggested recently by Roly - are all conspiring against any insitutional buying of NUFC shares right now.

These factors are, of course, also creating a window of opportunity for FS to take the company private on the cheap. The very fact that he doesn't appear to be acting suggests to me that one or other of these factors may also be also inhibiting him in doing so.

Any thoughts?

Judging by the volumes, the only people buying and selling the shares at the moment are private investors, and small ones at that. Only 8,000 shares have changed hands today - about £2,000 worth.
