Sequel to "Our TV died"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Well, I won the battle but lost the war.

We have been without a tv for almost a whole week now and it's not so bad! I have been getting more done around the house and even snuck in a nap. Lots of reading, baking, and cleaning.

But, our TV is going to be repaired. To compromise, we'll be cancelling cable. Cable costs $44 per month. And we'll be upgrading our computer ISP to digital. That will cost us $49 per month. We spend MUCH more time on the computer than sitting in front of the TV (some business is conducted on the computer too) so, this seems to be a good deal for both of us. Money wise -in the end- it will be an overall montly savings of $14. We'll still have our VCR for movies.

Thanks to all who helped. Hubby really like the "extra special" attention:)
