Elvis is buried at Graceland. Over his burial casket there is a ground-level bronze cover full length thingy, not a headstone. Anyway, one word is misspelled on on this. What is that word?

Mitch, O.K., I apologize for the simplicity and obviousness of the "stumpette" that was far beneath the exalted heights to which true trivia stumpers should rise. I visited Graceland and saw the notice. But what are the ground rules here? What minutia counts? Are stumpers supposed to otherwise be general public knowldege? How about somthing inane like "how many stamens are found in a flower of Sida decandra? Who was buried in Grant's tomb?

Rick, judgeing by Mitch's quick dismissal of my 25 year old stumpette you must be just 24. Anyway, as I recall, the sign at Graceland said that Evis' middle name "Aron" was given unknowingly misspelled or alternatively spelled by his parents. Now I don't think Elvis anticipated his quick death at 42 so he didn't have his big bronze plaque already made up. When his nane name was given to the funeral home that made the plaque they figured it was a misspelling of "Aaron" and made, incorrectly, a correction.

Hi Charles, you are welcome to post any stumpers you like and give the rules for your stumpers as well. I think they are so much fun to read.

For myself, if I absolutely know the answer I usually don't post it right away, in order to give others the chance to post and have more fun with it. If I don't know the answer I usually just guess, and have a few times gotten it right.

My kids love these type of questions, and that is usually the first thing they ask when they get home at noght! It is truly amazing the amount of knowledge we all carry around inside our heads! I wish I could remember one-tenth of what I have forgotten!
