Interview with Andy O'Briengreenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread |
Just noticed this interview. Basically, just says that he loves being here although he is still living with his dad in Harrogate. Says: "I haven't got a big contract like the other lads - I've gone from driving a Ford Escort to buying a G reg Saab".Howay, Bobby, get him a new contract!

Dougal, where did you read this interview? Sorry for my ignorance, I'm a bit out of touch here in Sydney.

What's a Greg Saab ? Is that like a Reg Vardy - only classier, smells better and performs better at elevation ...

Only OBrien knows. And nobody nose like OBrien nose.

That must be a "Concorde joke" Nick, it went right over the top!;7)

It did for me too Bud - I never had a sniff of it

Greg Saab is one better than a Geof Saab. Miles improved from the Glenda Saab.

This thread could get really confusing having the G-Reg Saab and the Greg Saab topics running in parallel.Anyway, O'brien's Escort must have been a real banger if a 'G' Registered SAAB (just to keep the confusion to a minimum), is an improvement. :-{E}

reminds me of Gaylord Focker from 'meet the parents'

Saab 9000 is quite a rated car, although G registration (1990/1 I think) is fairly old. Quite why you'd go for a Saab when the 'big bumber' Golf GTi 16v was produced at teh same time, I don't know. BMW 325i was also very smart - still is :-)

Bobby, have you the slightest idea how boring your last posting was? Please tell me you were being ironic - or I'll contact Millett's and tell them you'll be round for your anorak in the morning.

Mine's a size L please ;-) I like late 80s early 90s cars 'cos they were the real boy racer thing :-)
-- Anonymous, January 15, 2002
Don't mock, Mr. Smith, Man at Millets has dressed me so that heads turned. :-{E}
-- Anonymous, January 15, 2002
Yes PB, but the point is to turn heads toward you not away from you!
