Bearing in mind that it wasn't that long ago, if someone had asked me how many of Saturday's players were playing in the above game I would have guessed 7 or 8. It's only 4, which I am pretty amazed at. Injuries really DID blight our season badly, and Robert and Bellamy have made a helluva difference.

Nick, you're right: at the time, we were blaming bad attitude, the coaches and talking about the injuries as no more than a footnote. I still think the lads basically decided that they weren't getting into Europe and weren't getting relegated and did ease off and I still think that there were some coaching issues, but, with hindsight, it's nothing short of miraculous that we finished as high as we did.
