LamaLogic Software

Has anyone tried LamaLogic software? I've been looking for some farm management software (mainly for sheep and goats) and it looks to me like the best, just curious for input, or any other software you like. Thanks!

I don't think I've ever screwed up so many links in my life! Farm Works
Ewebytes

I can see why you like, there are some very nice features!! LamaLogic is very impressive, but won't do what I want at all. No dairy records (DHI), no EPD's, no inbreeding co-efficiants, No provision to record accelerated lambing (sponging etc...... I'm sure it will suit a lot of people and anyone looking for a small flock record system should take a peek!! I LOVE the health records and the preg checking records!!!!!!!!!! The only other thing I noticed was it uses a drop down list from the task bar at the top to list a selection of animals to pick an individual. I wonder how many animals that drop down bar can hold? I have 200 sheep, and they have 300+ lambs every year, even divided into breeds or groups it isn't going to fit that drop down list! You'll notice I havn't bought either Ewe bytes or Farm works, neither does everthing I want. Farm Works has a module to use a PDA in the barn and plans to link to a scale, that'd be nice, get your record work done in barn as you go!! Ewebytes has a dairy sheep module, which if I could ever get a look at it might make a diffrence. There's another one (I dislike because of the pricing system)Stock keeper or Farm Stock I forget which I'll dig it off my other computer.

I found this list of software sites on the Maryland Small Ruminant Page: http://www.sheepandgoat.com/software.html

Lots of choices here from $25 on up.

Herd Pro that's it. Prices it's software to match the number of animals you have!!? Bizzare!!!! My 200 sheep make me on par with a guy keeping 30 or so cows but I'd still have to buy the large farm version! It won't do what I want either for milk records (I don't think). But does have PDA links! You might like it, has a similar feel to the LamaLogic Herd Pro
