Sorry to bother y'all with a trivial question, but what is the cheapest transport alternative from the Geneva airport to Chamonix?

bus costs about 100 swiss francs direct from Geneve bus station. trains in CH can be expensive without a discount card and it requires switching at least 2 times (french or swiss direction)

I was in Chamonix three years ago with three friends. We found out it was cheaper to take a taxi from the airport in Geneva to Chamonix if you are at least four people!! I think we payed around 1000 FR.

And the trip only takes something like one hour!!
