Hutch for the Toon

Reported that Colin Hutchison CEO Chelsea is resigning with Newcastle tipped to be his next post. This sounds like a task for our Clarky the Boardroom Slayer to get his teeth into.

Can't say I know enough about him to know whether it would be good or not.

he always interviews well, gives well thought out answers. He's coped with Bates for ten years so he knows how to deal with incompetent bosses. He ruthlessly got rid of Gullit when there seemed no real need, so there's a plus. He has been part of bringing in the continental flavour to Chelsea, and was happy to experiment on Gullit/Vialli/Ranieri with the jury still out whether it was a success experiment.

Anyone would think we were planning to build something like the Chelsea Village on the car park by the Metro.....

Sorry buff but I really don't know much about the guy.

It's funny but we were talking about the Toon Management in the Strawberry post- match yesterday, and our general feeling was that we could do a lot worse as Chairman than FS, who is a keen fan and perhaps that is very important for the soul of the Club. However, he lacks professionalism in terms of leading a plc, and we really neeed someone who can compliment Freddie and bring a more professional approach to managing the overall business.

I'm afraid I have no idea whether Hutchinson is that man.
