..is keeping me from running my errands today!

Everytime I'm just about out the door, they put another Leeds supporter on. They've had a common theme...Bellamy is a whinging, diving so-and-so, and complaining about the away fans' view.

They do have a point, but listening to them moan is hysterical! One bloke complained of having to dodge satellites. The host put another on the spot by asking how he could possibly know Bellamy whinged the entire match if he couldn't see anything. The supporter said he could see his arms flapping.

It may only last a few hours, but I'm enjoying listening to others moan about us getting the luck and having the 12th man in the ref, etc etc. :-)

I thought the referee was terrible today - but he didn't particularly favour any side.

Leeds' challenges were certainly the worst and Bellamy's booking for a dive was absolutely ridiculous - it was a clear penalty.

Now there's a supporter on putting us up with Manure as a team the refs love. ????!!! I wish! LOL!!

Paul, got to dissagree with you over Bellamys' penalty claim, from my seat it looked a good tackle, but IMHO it didn't look like he took a dive. Course I'll probably be proved wrong on both counts when i watch the highlights this evening.

From my view (several views actually) in front of the TV set, it was a perfect tackle, defender played the ball. Now, had bellamy ran after the ball when he stood up instead of crying to the ref, he wouldn't have been booked. What pi$$ed me off is that he could have recovered the ball easily. That unfortunately is the downnside to Bellamy, he constantly stops and yips at the ref instead of playing to the whistle. Otherwise you just have to love the irritating abrasive little bugger don't you.

Maybe he did get the ball, probably did.

However, the fact is, Duberry (I think it was) also took Bellamy with the follow through. Whilst not necessarily a penalty, it was NEVER a dive, and it's not exactly unrealistic to think that Bellamy thought he was fouled. There was also a push on Gary Speed in the box which the referee completely missed as he was watching something completely different.

What got me was that various Leeds players performed far more theatrical dives and the referee just waved away their claims - no bookings.

Just out of interest, does Robert get a suspension now?

Wasn't a penalty, wasn't a dive. It (the yellow) will probably be overturned. I thought that the ref did OK today, apart from the shocking ignoral of the early foul on Robert.

Spot on. Wasn't never a penalty, wasn't a dive - but I just can't see them overtuning another yellow card for Bellamy

Wasn't a penalty - he got the ball and Bellamy ran into his leg. He didn't really over appeal compare to normal but from some angles it probably looked like a dive.

If it stops him whinging so much I'll let him suffer.

no penalty, no dive. Seems that this isn't allowed any more. Either a pen or a booking, need to sort it out.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2002

Ref said the yellow was for diving, not for whinging so it bloody well has to be overturned. Period.

During the pre-match buildup they spoke to Eddie Grey (Leeds Asst Manager) who reckoned that players needed to be made to curb their celebrations in case the sparked crowd trouble....as clearly evidenced by Lee Bowyer sensibly cavorting in front of the only part of elland Road not filled with silent Yorkshire Puddings.

In a neat twist of fate they then spoke to Danny Mills about the singling out of certain players by referees. It was reckoned that even he, quiet, studious, shaven-headed psychopath that he is, might be one such player. The Radio 5 interviewer reckoned that Mills was simply misunderstood through his passionate and competetive style....just ask Robert and Bellamy.

Dear FA,
Please fine Leeds 6 points for bringing the game into disrepute at every available opportunity.

p.s. At least they didn't let Bowyer take any corners, although I'm sure that if our fans had agreed to lay down holding their heads first he'd have been straight in there.

You may find Bellamy's interview on Sportonair (see other thread) enlightening...

-- Anonymous, January 14, 2002

My seat last season was right beside the away supporters about 4 rows from the back, and although it's along way away from the pitch. The view is fine ! The Leeds fans were whinging away about the ref and Bellamy, hopefully when they saw the Premiership highlights they shut up and learnt how to lose !

Can you see the flying pigs that high up Kats???

-- Anonymous, January 14, 2002

It's those flyin' pigs gettin in our way what blocked our views!!! Can't you lot do something about them? No other stadium in the country had flyin' pigs blocking the away section...*whingemoanrant*
