Burning a VCD over 80mins using NERO

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have a movie in AVI format that I want to burn to VCD using NERO5.5, however the movie is about 90 mins long. Is there a way that I can split it in two before burning so that I can burn 45 mins on one disk and 45 mnis on an other? Or is there another way to burn it ?

Regards.

TMPGenc has a range option where you can set the points within an AVI file to encode. So, you can create two such projects *.tpr and batch encode them so you get exactly the two segments u want.

use virtual dub it is simple. extract the zip file you that you will download in a folder(you dont have to install anything).open program, open avi file you want to split, select from video and audio derect stream copy,go at the beggining of the movie(select start point), go to the middle (select end point) go file->save avi-> a.avi(you must write .avi).do the same with the other half.

You could try and obtain the NERO SVCD patch from ahead software. This is supposed to burn your larger file onto a smaller footprint on your CD-R. I am looking for the patch myself and hope to get the plug in soon. (http://www.nero.com/en/mpeg2p.htm)

You can find the plug in on almost any p2p program. I found it on EDonkey 2000, and on Kazaa.
