Anyone else at the NUFC 2-5 Spurs game in 1975 ?

We were 4-0 down at half time but the team came out to a standing ovation for the second half having so dominated the first, and we all felt we still had the chance of victory. I feel Spurs had three shots in the whole game, but McFaul threw a centre in and there was also an own goal too, as well as an Alfie Conn (hat) trick.

Now that was entertainment !

Yes Macbeth I was there, centre paddock. Couldnt beleive it, we were all over them for long periods but it seemed that every time they went down to our end they scored. We were laughing by the end.

I remember it well - my first full season standing on the Leazes. Still having nightmares about Alfie Conn's ginger sideburns to this day.

Hey MacBeth I think I was stood next to you - you were the one flicking peanuts at the back of that copper's helmet as he walked along the cinder track. Tanner a bag as I recall.

God you saw me, I also used to take toilet rolls and throw them, my personal best was to get in with 13 toilet rolls and not be stopped. There were so angry and frustrated pupils at my school around that time

Is the unn.ac.uk email the best one to get you at?
