A neat catalog

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Yesterday I received a catalog that has a list of hundreds of different type of books about gardening, living in the country etc.

It is called ACRES and the front cover says " Eco-Farming- Eco Living- Organic Farming and Gardening- Specialty Crops- Homesteading- Natural Health and More"

I don't think I am going to buy any, but it is a good list to look for at the Library. Lots of good books on every topic.

They have a web-site you can go to, and maybe see the list or order a catalog: it is www.acresusa.com

Books like: Preventing Deer Damage, How to Make a Forest Garden, Bread From Stones, The Gardeners Table, The Unschooling handbook, Milk Based Soaps and on and on.

I have never seen so many interesting books in one catalog! Enjoy!

Hi Melissa,

I just received that catalog also. I picked out tons of books that I would like to read that were listed there and then sat down at the computer to see which ones our library system has. They have a lot of them!! So, I already have several on hold.

I'm looking first at the Natural Care for Goats and the books on Mad Cow disease here in the US and one about the genetical altered foods and which companies do and don't sell them.herbgirl
