Some bloody good players in that squad - the Mighty Wyn, Jinky Jimmy, Pop Robson, Ollie Burton, and the inimitable Big John MacNamee (sing ...."Tra-la-la-la-la MacNamee, who the f*****g hell is he.....").

I'll never forget Big John's goal at Joker Park. 2-0 down and pulled back to 2-1, cue for an almighty assault ending with Macnamee bundling the ball and at least 5 S********d players into the back of the net for a well-worked equalizer. Back to the Nelson in Jarrow to get legless with me mackem mates - yes, twas like that in those days.
