A loan move?

I see that Nakata may leave Parma and go on loan for the rest of the season he would probably stay in Italy but come on Bobby make the move. Worth a fortune in revenue through TV and merchandising but also he could do a job for us.

We do not have strngth in depth in midfield, by signing him we could rest some of our players. At the moment our attacking line up is
Robert Speed Dyer Solano
Shearer Bellamy. Obviously Bernard is cover for Robert and Lee for Speed, but if we signed Nakata we could rest either Dyer, Solano or Bellamy (pushing Dyer into attack). It would give us options and give the players a well earned rest.

This idea has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I would be able to watch every game live.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this Moroccan-Dutch player who's just joined on loan. Do remember him at Ajax, Stevo?

Peter: Dries Boussatta never made the first team with Ajax but went on to establish himself as a first team regular with Utrecht and then AZ Alkmaar. As I recall he played his best football in a 4-3-3 system mostly on the right-wing. At one point his form was good enough to get selected thrice for the Dutch side when Rijkaard was trying out potential squad players prior to Euro-2000.

Born in Amsterdam, of Morrocan descent, after his national debut Boussatta was subjected to some particularly vile racist abuse. Ajax fans disgraced themselves first with a chant about his Mum having a moustache, which then turned into his calling his Mum a 'whore'. Morons.

More recently, alas, his game went to pieces, he no longer even got in the team at AZ. The story I read was that rather than sit out the rest of his (quite lucrative) contract until 2004, he decided he needed a change to help him regain his form and re-start his career. He offered to hand his contract in to seek pastures new, AZ accepted. Fair dues.

When Bobby Robson was at PSV few defenders relished playing against Boussatta and its probably on that basis he's taken him on for a trial. Good luck to the man.

Agree completely Kegsy. I've always fancied Nakata. In a manner of speaking like.

Much better bet than Brett Emerton for similar money IMO

Wow - someone's agreed with me. Can't remember the last time that happened :-)

I don't think he would be a first choice but it gives us options we don't have. I think we will lose games in the title run- in through the players being tired, we do need cover and he's available on loan.

Hes like that all the time Kegsy, buy him a drink and he will agree with you for weeks!

Sorry lonly, Nakka ta is past it, Emerton will outpace him and out skill him too!
