Is anyone taking continuing education classes this year?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

I was just wondering if anyone is taking or planning on taking continuing education classes or workshops to improve their lives, ministry or discipleship. I will be taking a Rural evangelism and Discipleship class from Wartenburg Seminary online in April. I would also love to hear classes or workshops you have taken in the past that you found useful.

Bill good for you! What Bible Study are you doing? I wish there was a way you could offer a basic "economic" course online. I know you would be a hard prof, but it would be a great class.

I am enrolled in a four year course study through the Evangelical Training Association offered by the Citywide Interdenomination Christian Training Institute out of Mount Tabor A.M.E. Church in Philadelphia, PA.

The course begins with a survey of the Old Testament. The Institute has been a blessing to me. The courses I learned most from were Spiritual Gifts and The Triune God.

Congratulations Mary! I too like helping people identify their spiritual gifts. Has that class helped you with evangelism in your church?

Not only in my church but in the community also. It is sometimes very difficult for Christians to discover what their particular gift (s) are. I discovered mine was that of "Helps." Following that discovery, I felt very comfortable and try in every way to use the gift God has given me. I thank Him for allowing me to discover more of whom I am through Him. God bless Rev. Rev. Rogers.
